Welcome to Life in Edmonton

There is an old saying we often hear,"...if I only knew then what I know now", or "I should write a book about what I've learned about that". How often do you wish you could read the books that could have been written, or share in the information and knowledge your neighbours have gained over the years.

"Those who do not learn from history are doomed to repeat it", and from that thought was born this web site. Our goal is to compile stories, anecdotes, memos, and information from everyone who wishes to contribute them as a guide to all aspects of life in Edmonton, Alberta, Canada. This will be a "living document" which will grow and evolve in whatever direction the users take it.

You will find searchable links and lists to help you easily locate a business or service. There is a forum section for anyone to post to on any subject where you can ask questions, add information, seek advice, make a statement, or just "vent" a bit. A town hall that is open 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, 365 days a year.

Edmonton, the capitol city of Alberta, hosts a diversity of cultures and ethnic origins, and many who have recently located in our city may be feeling overwhelmed with the adjustments required to easily navigate their new hometown, whether they are from small town Alberta, another province, or another country. Help them find familiar food, shop for clothes, locate others with similar backgrounds and origins, master the transit system, get mail, convert currency, and so on by contributing what you know.
